The Shelby Spiel
My story started as a goofy kid with a gift for mirroring and mimicry. I crashed into the spotlight in Elementary School with animal noises and an on-point Chewbacca impression, and kept the goblin chaos alive by embodying musical misfits and directing unhinged school plays in high school and beyond. I’ve always chased the magic of storytelling, loud laughter, and the kind of teamwork that feels like improv on Mount Doom.
These days, I bring that same feral theater kid energy to the booth, the stage, and every dice-rolling table I can find. I’m all about colorful characters, horror movie marathons, high-stakes fantasy, low-stakes chaos, and harmonizing with ghosts (the band and the spectral variety). Whether I’m singing with a choir, scheming with my improv crew, or loving on my dog and partner, I live to make people laugh, cry, or scream a little—in a fun way.
